At The Gathering Place we believe that one of the most urgent and most neglected ministries in the church today is Ministry to Men. For the past few years, we have been purposeful in establishing a thriving Men’s Group.

Our vision is: “Build our Men; and they will Build His Church

When the Men are strong and committed: Marriages improve; Families are stronger, Children and Youth have better role models; Various Ministries are strengthened. Men Mentoring Men is very important. Also reaching out to the Young Men and Children is crucial. Men play a big role in building community and establishing a wholesome and loving atmosphere in our church. We also encourage Men to Worship. Even be part of our Worship Team – to raise their voice in Worship to the King of Kings.
We teach our Men that they are all Ministers in the Marketplace. That they are Working for the Lord in and out the church at all times, in all places.

Weekly Early Morning Prayer Gatherings – Men only – before work.

Once a month – Thursday nights – Home Discipleship Gatherings – Bible, Video Teachings, Discussions, Prayer and Fellowship time.

Yearly – Men’s Conferences and Retreats – with Promise Keepers and Band of Brothers

We host Men’s Breakfasts and/or Breakfasts with Guest Speakers
Z
Father and Daughter Banquets and Father and Son events

We also have Men traveling and ministering in worship, ministry teams, and mission trips

Opportunities to be involved in many other meaningful ways

We minister one-to-one helping men break free from destructive behaviors and addictions through Inner Healing – the wounds of the past and through Personal Ministry and Freedom Encounter Sessions

Other gatherings – includes BBQs, Bowling, Golf and various other activities to strengthen relationships

We have a Strong Core group of Men that is growing – committed to bring Glory to the Lord. To serve and lead their families, our Church and community.

Our ultimate purpose is to advance the Kingdom of God, here in Aurora, York Region, Canada and to the ends of the Earth.

Adam lost His God given ‘Authority’ through sin; Jesus took it back and gave us all authority. It is time the Men, the Church discovers this Truth. And walk in this delegated Authority. Time for Men to Arise.”
